So what is Nutritional Therapy anyway?
Nutritional Therapy is a holistic and foundational approach to health and healing. Simply put, using food as medicine. Unfortunately, our perspective and understanding of nutrition has been misconstrued and demonized by social channels, advertisements, fiscally driven industries, and literature. What is not often acknowledged is that food has a fundamental ability to heal and enlighten our body’s innate wisdom. Not medications, not detox cleansing teas, not antibiotics, food.
So if this is true, how can we heal our bodies instead of treating them? How can we support our bodies through nutrient-dense, whole foods rather than spending our time and money on prescriptions that bring us back to the doctor every other month?
When working with clients, I address the importance of nutrient-dense food, lifestyle choices, culinary wellness and how social and personal components can influence a client’s health. Through in-depth symptom based Nutrition Assessment Questionnaires we are able to assess specific areas of dysfunction and imbalance of each body system as well as nutritional deficiencies that a client’s body presents.

If you can't tell, I am 100% DEVOTED to educating women about the potential side effects that birth control can have on their bodies. And to be blunt, it's a laundry list. A few worth mentioning?
Depletes you of vital nutrients like magnesium, zinc, B vitamins, selenium and more
Impairs liver function and your body’s natural ability to detox
Increases inflammation and cortisol levels
Alters your gut microbiome and contributes to “Leaky Gut”
Increases your risk of anxiety and depression
Negatively impacts thyroid/metabolic function
Regardless if you choose to stay ON birth control, transition off soon or are currently post-birth control, I am here for all of it…every step of the way. There is a massive education gap between practitioners and women being prescribed BC and I'm here to bridge that gap. To simply inform and empower you to make whatever decision is best for your body!
